Mini-Coder
Mini-Coders combine the benefits of a compact design plus a lower cost for
OEM (quantity) applications. The example shown has dimensions of 1 ½” by 1
½” by 1 ½” plus the shaft. Several attributes are variable to meet
specific OEM requirements.

ESE Encoder
The ESE Series optical shaft encoder
represents a major price - performance breakthrough. It utilizes IRED
light sources and precision mechanical components to provide long life and
durability. Its quadrature output can be used to derive RPM, feet per
minute and angular position. When used with simple controls, material can
be cut to length and over and under speed conditions detected. The ESE
package with its easy mounting and sealed connector is designed to meet
the demands of industry and its price, the goals of the OEM.

RSE Encoder
The RSE series is a rotary optical
incremental shaft encoder designed with high precision mechanical
components and IRED light sources to provide long life and durability.
Comparison of the light signal with a reference signal provides high noise
immunity and wide operating temperature range. The output is a series of
squarewaves, which correspond to the shaft rotation. Single channel,
quadrature, index pulse, differential line driver, anti-jitter and other
special outputs are available with standard resolutions up to 2500 PPR. In
addition to face flange, foot flange, size 25 flange and 5PY mounts,
several bearing and connector options are also available.

HDE Encoder
The HDE series is a rotary optical
incremental shaft encoder designed with high precision mechanical and opto-electronic
components. It is enclosed in a sealed rugged anodized aluminum housing
designed to operate in the most severe environments. Infrared LED and SMD
circuitry provides high noise immunity. Two independent shaft seals
prevent internal contamination due to moisture and dust. Teflon sealed
chrome steel with grease lube (standard) and many other bearing options
provide for heavier shaft loads. Single channel, index pulse, quadrature,
and other special outputs are available with standard resolutions up to
2500 PPR.

TuffCoder
The TuffCoder series is a NEMA 4, rotary
optical incremental shaft encoder designed with high precision mechanical
and opto-electronic components. It is enclosed in a sealed rugged hard
coat anodized (MIL-8625F Type 3 Class 1) aluminum housing designed to
operate in the most severe environments. Infrared LED and SMD circuitry
provides high noise immunity. Two independent shaft seals packed with
grease prevent internal contamination due to moisture and dust. TeflonÒ
sealed ABEC 3 with grease lube (standard) provide for heavier shaft loads.
Single channel, index pulse, quadrature, and other special outputs are
available with standard resolutions up to 2500 PPR.

Defender
The Defender series is a NEMA 4X, rotary
optical incremental shaft encoder designed with high precision mechanical
and opto-electronic components. It is enclosed in a sealed rugged 304
stainless steel housing designed to operate in the most severe
environments. Infrared LED and SMD circuitry provides high noise immunity.
Two independent shaft seals prevent internal contamination due to moisture
and dust. Teflon sealed ABEC 3 with grease lube (standard) provide for
heavier shaft loads. Single channel, index pulse, quadrature, and other
special outputs are available with standard resolutions up to 2500 PPR.
